Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, at least three years solid data analysis, reporting and management experience are a must. Candidate must be technologically savvy and familiarity with customer relationship databases is a must. Ability to handle multiple projects while maintaining a positive attitude. Salary type: Other Job Description: The Detroit Regional Chamber is seeking a highly organized, enthusiastic Membership Data and Relations Manager with strong communication, verbal and written skills. This position will work to ensure the quality and relevance of the membership experience through data integrity; the collection, accessibility, and preservation of organizational knowledge; awareness of member challenges and needs, effective interactions with Detroit Regional Chamber staff and the identification of new technologies to help innovate and streamline member communications, services, and daily operations. Also a main area of focus for this position will be the overall responsibility for planning, budgeting, implementing and maintaining costs, methods, and employees within the Member Relations Database team. DATABASE - Individual will drive strategic database planning and integrate member information strategy. Documents our member interactions in database on a daily basis to support seamless experience across the customer lifecycle. Conducts research, employs data gathering techniques and analysis to assist in presenting member engagement conclusions and recommendations. Provide organizational analyst support during database systems development and deployment. Collaborate with IT to leverage existing tools and services and accepted support processes and policies, to ensure consistent service delivery to the member. Share member related knowledge, formally and informally, to enhance organization’s understanding of the members’ businesses. MEMBER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT STRATEGY - Ensure Detroit Regional Chamber employees have the necessary tools and information to achieve membership retention objectives in a timely and controlled manner with robust on-site support including, but not limited to database training, communication of initiatives, objectives, etc to all relevant management and support personnel. Assess our members’ business needs and recommend solutions. Use in-depth consulting skills and customer relations knowledge aligned to organization’s objectives and processes to analyze our members’ business needs and formulate hypotheses and test conclusions to determine appropriate solutions. responsible for developing and executing a CRM strategy for the organization that is focused on both internal and external customer relationships. This includes continuing the employee CRM training entitled "the Chamber Experience" Assists in the assessment, design, and development of the Member Relationship Management strategy related to business and/or technical requirements. Guide organization through problem definition, root cause issue identification and workplan development to enhance member retention. Present to Director, Member Relations concerns and issues of various customers or segments; Supervise the follow-up on meetings, correspondence, and reports. TEAM MANAGEMENT - Plan, direct, supervise, coordinate, and review the work plan for the Member Relations Database team; Meet with staff to identify and resolve problems; Assigns work activities, projects, and programs; Monitor work flow; review and evaluate work products, methods, and procedures. Manage and participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for Member Relations Database team. CROSS FUNCTIONAL GOALS - Assure that Chamber programming reflects members’ needs and desires as reflected in needs analyses, member satisfaction surveys and other means of collecting this information (e.g., speaker/ subject evaluation forms at programming). To take part, as required, in cross-functional teams to support implementations, change management and business improvement initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned.
