This individual will execute on the company's critical and visible corporate events, including product launches, executive programs and an annual user, developer and partner conference. This position is critical to delivering customer success, prospect engagement and industry momentum through exciting, innovative and targeted events that represent salesforce.com messages and its community. This is a dynamic opportunity for a seasoned professional with a proven history of success in executing event marketing programs. This position is hands-on in the day-to-day execution of all aspects of programs including planning, budgeting, execution, vendor management, analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities:
Execute a wide scope of corporate marketing events to meet targets for sales segments, product lines and corporate goals.
Understand salesforce.com brand and product positioning with the ability to ensure consistent, on-brand messaging Manage multiple, complex timetables successfully in a collaborative extremely fast paced environment.
Monitor campaign execution and results, including outbound and web promotions for driving event registration and response Manage external relationships (agencies, vendors) and internal creative services team which support direct efforts and collaborate closely to develop and successfully execute programs
Research and report creative event options, off-site venues, and entertainment based on program format and budget. Provide onsite event support, registration management and other duties assigned by director of group as necessary.

Required Skills/Experience:
5+ years successful event management experience planning small-scale events (receptions, meetings, roundtables, etc) and large events (product launches, symposium and tradeshows), preferably in a
B2B, high-tech, fast-paced environment
Experience in managing budgets
Proven effectiveness in contract negotiations
Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to creatively negotiate demands
Results-oriented, customer driven, organized with attention to detail Ability to assess and prioritize workload in a strict deadline oriented environment
Thrive on teamwork and overcoming obstacles
Self-starter, motivated and able to multi-task; Able to work with a minimum of supervision
Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills, with the ability to proactively address client's needs
Experience with on-line registration systems and reporting
Strong IT skills and project management skills with a desire to improve current processes
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (MS Access, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) is necessary
Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel when required
